This film shows us the Rise of a film star……. and then the Rise of a real life Super-man. Growing up in the later 80’s and 90’s, Christopher Reeves WAS Superman. His own life story shocked world in the film industry after his accident and became like a tragic Hollywood story. Thinking I would leave the cinema feeling down - The film gave me inspiration on an incite of all the determination Christopher Reeves and his family did to try and achieve the best recovery from Christopher's accident and Help others in need . They even still, continue to this day to campaign. It also points out the tragedy of Christopher Reeves Wife, who was later diagnosed with lung Cancer and possibly hid her health problems away to keep a positive attitude for Christopher. The Director and editor has done wonders with the footage and interviews from the family and celebrity friends and has pieced together a film for people who believe in hope and how a man can become a real-life superhero to help others. As a fan of documentary films this film is ONE to watch ….. Especially for DC fans and all Comic Fans.

For starters if Jeremy Strong doesn’t get nominated (or even win) an Oscar for best Supporting Actor for this film, then there’s something wrong. The minuet his character comes on the screen, is the minuet you are grasped into this film. In 2017 Channel 4 (UK TV Channel) aired a four-part Documentary called TRUMP: The American Dream. It focused (like this film) on Donald’s Trumps rise to power and mentioned his friendship with Roy Cohn, only for Trump to later distance himself from his mentor - which I would recommend watching first and sets the tone for this Film. All the cast are Excellent in their roles – Even though Maria Bakalova Plays Ivana Trump wooden, she still pulls off the strong, determined (but suffering on the inside) wife of Donald Trump. The scenery and footage used to put the viewer into 1970’s New York, is also believable and feels like your there, at the times. Also, the music used is perfect, I can’t stop listening to Street Man by Brooklyn Dreams. Either if you’re a Fan of TRUMP or Not - this is a must-see film. Especially if you like Biography films.

WORST FILM I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE..... For years I have been to the cinema to watch the expansion of the Marvel universe on the big screen. I remember seeing Iron man 2 to begin with and took it from there. The first ANT-MAN is 4/5 with a excellent performance from Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, plus awesome performance from the supporting cast. ANT-MAN 2 isn't so bad either with a 3/5 rating from me and was entertaining to watch. Now comes ANT-MAN 3 - ALL ABOUT WOKE.... First off - the film shouldn't be titled Ant-Man and the Wasp... as the Wasp hardly makes an appearance. It should be called ANT-MAN and his (They/IT) Feminist, Activist Daughter.... Quantomania. Second - scenes of his daughter shrinking cop cars at protests and making a joke out of it, seems so wrong.... But Disney love the fact that this (SOFT) Generation, love making a stand against authority. etc Then comes the shrinking into the Quantomania (or what ever you call it)..... and they meet people down there and species - that all speak perfect English, have holding cells and Bars to go drinking etc????? - when originally Ant-man shrank, we saw scenery of crystals and patterns around him. The one star I have given, is for the sadness that a cast of great talented actors wasting their time and a crew of special effects teams just wasting theirs. The cameo of Bill Murray is just pointless, as well. Get your act together Disney and bring back the real purpose of the Marvel Universe. WOKE and Feminism doesn't work...

As a Fan of Photography.... the stories and lives behind the photographers themselves - I was really excited that they finally made a motion picture about Lee Miller. After visiting an Exhibition of Lee Millers photography (in her later life whilst living at Farley's House) at Liverpool University, I was talking to a lovely member of staff about the the upcoming film, and how both of us were really looking forward to it. However The WOKE movement has to set in and completely ruin the purpose of the film. It focuses more on Lee's (so called) Feminism, on heroic encounters with the Second World War and her overcoming Male dominance in the environment.... in the 1940's. How she saves a girl from rape and how she is determined to have her Surreal photos shown in Vogue Magazine, to express the moments in War Time Britain. Also having a pointless scene of a NAZI General having to be racist to a Black US Army Commander. It doesn't mention or show the 1920's, with her work with Man Ray OR the fact she was having countless affairs behind her rich husbands back - which in my opinion cancels any Real Feminist Beliefs. Kate Winslet over acts the scenes involving action and confrontation. Whilst David Samberg just appears like a scared Rabbit and is even scared to say anything, thinking he might get his head bit off by Winslets character. However, some moments of the film are good and Kate Winslet has done her best to bring an Icon back to life (and suffered for it). She does point out about body imaging and how women should respect what they have got and show it off. I just hope the film can shed light on a forgotten hero in the world of Photography and inspire an generation of people to keep taking photos for a purpose and not just use Photography for selfies.

With the BAD Reviews I found on Google, I wasn't going to watch this move....However.... I think it's THE BEST FILM OF THE YEAR... IT'S SO GOOD, I'VE SEEN IT TWICE. All The lead cast - Demi Moore, Margret Qualley and Dennis Quaid are excellent in this movie and so are the Extras. The Way the Director uses the sound, the cameras movements and close ups to make the film more dramatic is genius. I never knew a scene with Demi Moore cooking and Dennis Quaid eating shrimp, could bring such tension to a film. The story is basic and the last 15 minuets do falter but is brilliant storytelling - Aiming a WARNING at people who want Cosmetic Surgery or take any Drugs (they get off the Black Market) to stay younger and not realise the outcomes - when they should appreciate who they are and what they look like, in this life. Also it has a dig at sleazy Executives in Media, TV and Film that are just always after Perfection. Very grotesque special effects in places - A MUST SEE for the fans of the Movies THE FLY (1986), THE THING (1982), THE BLOB (1958) and LIMITLESS (2011), with a touch of ALIEN (1979) and THE WITCHES (1990) thrown in to it. I would mention the NUTTY PROFESSOR (1996) but without the comedy. Not for the squeamish either but 5/5 from me... especially for the Director Coralie Fargeat, Demi Moore, Margret Qualley and Dennis Quaid.
