A great movie and a very disturbing one. Under the beautiful surface of her voice and career and her pulled together old age, she goes deep into an abiding darkness. I'm I alone in thinking she's exposed herself as a kind of a monster? Who makes a documentary where they accuse their father of sexual abuse that they don't even concretely remember? All these decades of therapy and difficult personal relationships and no one told her that behavior like that might be the problem? It reminded me of how Landesman in Shoah just let people talk too much and they reveal much much more than they intended. And of how toxic therapy can be. Go see it. It's a fabulous movie.
