Sheeka Attiba – Google

This story was so moving. Many have tried but this is up there with Love Jones. However, this captured a more realistic setting of the characters (perhaps because its based on a real story) and without the dramatized insecurities that led to egotistical missteps in relationship building in LJ. It is definitely a tear jerker. Kudos to Denzel Washington, Chante Adams (who is remarkably beautiful) and the handsome Michael B. Jordan.

This show is laugh out loud funny and really demonstrates cultural relevancy and how it can bring you in. The first Wonder Years brought us in via age culture but adding that ethnic culture was pleasing to me. Don Cheddle is killing it as the narrator and sounds like he's really in touch with those times in a boys life. I hate that the idolized and wanted female lead is the stereotypical light skinned girl especially since its placed in Alabama and Dean is surrounded by beautiful dark skinned women. I loved the episode when he went to work with his mother. Altogether a very good job by all involved.
