I've been a HUGE fan of this game series ever since I played the original Secret of monkey Island on the Amiga500 as a child. Having played every game in the series and enjoying them all to some extent, I have always felt that although Curse of monkey Island came close, none of them compared to the 1st two games.... Well that's finally changed with the Return to Monkey Island! Having Ron Gilbert come back and do his 3rd game in the series feels like the first two games have finally got the follow on they deserved. This game has got all the great qualities of the first two! The great story line, awesome characters old and new, brilliant puzzles, funny gags, great music... the lot! And I really don't understand the people moaning about the art style, I really do think it compliments this game brilliantly. I have been hoping for many years that Ron Gilbert would be back one day to complete the series he had brilliantly created back in 1990 and having played the brilliant thimbleweed Park in 2017 it made me want that 3rd Ron Gilbert Monkey island even more! All I can say is this game has well and truly been worth the 31 year wait since Lechucks Revenge. I have Loved every little thing about it so far and would highly recommend this game to anyone. 10/10
