I had watched the movie where Keira Knightley plays Elizabeth before and then I tried to read the book since it was praised by everyone. I loved the movie but I was not able to complete the book because of the language. But then I thought of watching this thinking that there is no way this would be better than the other movie adaptation. I was very wrong. This is the most beautiful and most raw and real adaptation ever. Also it includes a lot of scenes from the book that the other adaptation did not. The costumes, acting body languages setting and every other thing is more than perfect. If you like the book or the other movie you will definitely like this one.

This masterpiece was waiting in my watchlist for a long time. When I decided to watch it I only expected UT to be a fun story with just a little but of sadness and a sudden happy twist. But it was so full of emotions. The way heo soek understands and stands against patriarchy left a mark for sure. And their incomplete love story in the end leaves you feeling just as though someone just plucked out a piece of your heart. Especially the painting he drew of their times together is sad to watch. All in all it is a beautiful movie with a beautiful story and you won't regret watching it.

This is a very slow movie and not the kind I usually watch but it is strangely engaging and beautiful. I watched it because of Kang Ha Neul. You won't understand what is going on in the minds of the characters and I didn't understand fully I must say but I couldn't stop watching because it felt so real. It was different from all the films I have ever seen. I am not good with words but if you can wait for the end you will be happy but at the same time you will feel surprised and a little angry at the writer of this story
