While the visuals are stunning, and it’s great to see familiar characters alongside some intriguing new ones, I personally found the new characters to be pretty shallow—lacking depth or development. A lot of the humor and situations felt like recycled material from the first movie, which made it less exciting for me.
The storyline had potential, with some interesting ideas, but in my opinion, they weren’t fully explored. I never really got into the flow of watching, and the over-the-top silly scenes often disrupted the more dramatic or emotional moments. For me, the songs weren’t as catchy as those in the first movie either.
The villain reveal was underwhelming. The woman who seemed to be evil at first (and who would’ve been awesome in that role, in my opinion) turned out to be good, but by then, the movie was already more than halfway through. Without strong emotional or dramatic elements, the movie just didn’t hit the right notes for me.
Overall, I felt there was no real character development or moral takeaway. This is just how I saw it, though—others might feel differently.
