I am glad I watched this movie it really had it all. It had joyful heartfelt moments, sad moments, and very intense moments. It started out very intense with Violet standing on top of the ledge looking down into a creek. It really felt like she was contemplating jumping. At that very moment Finch was running and came across her. He likely saved her life. Even after that incident it felt like he could relate to Violet as he was going through his own internal pain. I love how they developed a friendship which turned into a romance. It was perfect because they were there for each other through very dark times. Finch was able to get Violet to open up her heart to see the beauty in so many places and things. It can be the littlest things which seem meaningless but in that time mean everything. Thanks to the classroom project and meeting Finch Violet's whole world changed. I loved the part of the movie where they visited the highest point in Indiana. It was literally nothing it seemed ridiculous. At that time it meant everything it was the brightest place for Violet. This was the beginning of where Violet started to open up. Before meeting him she had zero interest in getting out and exploring anything. Secondly, I loved when they went to the abandoned train yard and spent the night and slept together. It just goes to show the littlest most inconsequential places have the most meaning. At that point it felt like the movie began to focus more on Finch's problems. It really broke my heart how he pushed her away when she really wanted to help. Violet really wanted to understand Finch and get him to open up about his problems. Its such a double edged sword with Mental Illness. The person experiencing it sometimes pushes others away as they don't know how to deal with their problems. Everyone close to that person tries to push to get and more answers so they can help. You could see both angles come to play in this wonderfully written movie. Finch was able to get Violet to enjoy the world more and the littlest things in life He taught her how to love, laugh, and enjoy the littlest moments in life I'd highly recommend this movie to anyone it was excellent!!
