Had my doubts about this one. Robert B. Parker's Spenser series has been a favorite for years. I didn't look forward to a modern version of the characters. Thought this would be "Spenser" in name only. I was wrong. "Spenser Confidential" is the best movie version I've seen so far. They made all the right moves. The action...the humor...the atmosphere...the characters...all of it does justice to the Spenser novels. Can't wait to see what's next.
