I feel, as a really big fan, this series is disappointing, there was so much in the canon halo universe to explore. The human-covenant war, post war before Chief ended up on requiem, what happened between Halo 5 and Infinite, the Orion program beginnings, a Forerunner series, the list can go on and on. I feel this series really alienates fans of the books and games, while also being too vague for people who have no prior knowledge of the Halo canon. I have to explain things to my girlfriend because she has a lot of questions. It just feels wrong, seeing modern day weapons in Halo, modern weapons having no effect on elites while normal Halo weapons kill instantly. I feel I'm ranting, but Halo is a large part of my childhood and it sucks to see it treated so wrong again in my opinion. I just don't understand, who was this curated toward?
