Love the ending very good movie

I didn’t read the book or even know it was based off a book but I still felt it was rushed.I couldn’t understand the character build up or their bond .Some scenes was either too dramatic or surrounded by lackluster emotion to not carry the amount of drama we Jst experienced .It was almost like they got over their emotions instantly to where they shouldn’t even have had them to begin with.I do understand you can’t get all details but they definitely could’ve made the movie deeper .They showed nothing about who the female character is they touched base on the gambling so briefly .Its like she was fighting affection from Dylan for no reason.I can see it was a script issue plot issue those actors were definitely capable to capture the original essence bad producers and writers guess these are the ones who didn’t strike no revisions made 😂..From what I saw I could tell they both should’ve been more damaged which would’ve pulled them together but also made them scared and resistant towards one another .His mom died he’s an angry fighter her mom absent or dead and she had to grow up early .THAT ALONE SHOULD’VE BEEN THEIR deep toxic yet loving strong connection.I wish they could redo the movie same cast Jst redone and more intense
