The premise of this movie is laughable. Never ever would Christian missionaries go to a country like Afghanistan or Pakistan which adheres to Sharia law to build a Christian church or spread "The Good Word." Muslims stone and kill muslims that convert to Christianity. Being a Westerner that looks caucasian would make one or their family the target of Islamists in Afghanistan or Pakistan for kidnappings and or ransom, or just for them to parade a Westerner in front of the cameras. These countries have travel advisory warnings issued by the US State DEpartment, pretty much saying "DON'T GO." This whole plot of rescuing missionaries is far fetched. Also what responsible parentswould bring children to a war zone? The acting is pretty bad, especially the opening scene and the ops room, their acting is weak. The firearm effects look superimposed and fake. Also why are the dudes playing the Taliban dressed in all black like they're Daesh/ISIL. The Taliban never dressed in black pajamas like Daesh or the Vietcong. I mean maybe there'd be one dude in a group wearing all black but it wasn't a uniform. The Taliban's attire of choice is man-dresses, sandals and for hats they wear towels, pakols or kandahari hats (the hats with the stupid cutout in the middle). Here's another Superman movie. Dude's all alone taking on 40 hajis. There was a real world mission in 2006 called Operation Red Wings where four Navy Seals were sent in on a recon mission. By the end of the operation 11 Navy Seals would be KIA, and eight (8) Night Stalkers, from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) would also perish. Michael Murphy would get the Medal of Honor. His citation stated there were 30-40 enemy combatants. The only survivor Marcus Luttrell would write a book, well actually it was ghost written for him, he's not very bright. He would claim there were 200 hajis they were facing, which is a lie because the Medal of Honor Citation states 30-40. Plus HUMINT intelligence and after action reports stated there were no more than 20 fighters in the Pech District of Kunar Province. But in this movie one lone Navy Seals takes on a platoon of hajis. Ya okay Tim, sure. I guess this movie is supposed to make us feel better about the chaotic withdrawal which was initiated by Trump on February 2020. Kind of throws out the whole notion we have as Americans where our Government says "We don't negotiate with terrorists." What happened to that doctrine or principal? Was this just a one-off?

Excellent movie, my only complaint is the weapons shown have a continuity problem. For example when Tom Harris meets Mo, he give shim a package that showed up for him, Harris takes out a H&K MP7 and attaches a suppressor to it. Later when they're on the road and switch cars, Harris has an AK underfolder and on his chest rig he has AK magazines. What happened to the MP7? Also the MQ-9 Reaper drone can only carry so much ordinance. The armaments can consist of up to eight AGM-114 Hellfire air to ground missiles can be carried or four Hellfire missiles and two 500 lb (230 kg) GBU-12 Paveway II laser-guided bombs. The 500 lb (230 kg) GBU-38 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) can also be carried. In the movie that ordinance drop exceeded what the Reaper could carry.

From what I read the science part of the movie was done pretty well, but there's just some scenes or parts that don't make any sense. For example Brian is getting evicted, he's three months past due on his rent but he has a Mustang he's fixing up. It's probably a 1969, those fixed up start at around $60k. He also has a 1970 Norton Commando Roadster motorcycle those sell for around $6k on the low end. Plus he's working on the car in the garage, parts cost money as do all those tools he had. The dude can't pay his rent which is $1200 per month (estimated) but he has time and money to fix up a classic car. Anther odd part is that Houseman has a British accent, but his old mother doesn't, she just sounds like any other American. Now if he grew up there and they later immigrated to the US, the mother would have a British accent as well. I don't know what the writers conjured up when they conceived the immigration status of Houseman, but this is just off.

It's a decent movie but it takes liberties with the real world, I'll explain... Is it really that hard to make a movie that follows logic and common sense and not some conjured up child's fantasy? I recognize this movie is a twist on reality but even in twists the outside world still works the same like for example, to open a safety deposit box, two keys are needed, one belonging to the owner of the box, the other belonging to the bank. How did he open the box with one key, especially when there's two key slots in the damn box? He only had the bank managers key. Also when Rourke and Cruz are heading for Mexico why is there a US Border Patrol checkpoint into Mexico? Going into Mexico, one goes through Mexican Customs, not US. Leaving Mexico and entering the United States, that's one goes through US Customs. Another fairytale part of this movie is that Rourke still has his iPhone with him and he receives a call. Turning off Location services & GPS doesn't work when law enforcement is after a suspect. The only way to drop off the face of the map is to remove the battery, which is not possible with an iPhone or to throw it away.

I was done after the female agent said she was a sniper with x amount confirmed kills and that she used a M24 out to 1300 meters. The first female sniper only graduated from the US Army Sniper Course on November 5, 2021 at Fort Benning, Georgia. The US withdrew from Iraq in 2011, and came back in 2014 as advisors in Operation Inherent Resolve to combat Daesh/ISIL. This movie is not accurate. Plus why attempt a 1300 meter shot with a M24 where the effective range is 800 m, it can be pushed further. Better off with the M2010s 300 Win Mag cartridge with an effective range is 1110m. During the Iraq War, Army Staff Sgt. Jim Gilliland made a confirmed kill at 1,250 meters with an M24 chambered in the cartridge, there're no confirmed 1300m shots with a M24. Plus FBI don't use 1911s, only HRT does. Special Agents use Glocks, but some are still grandfathered in with the Sig Sauer and Smith & Wesson. Also why didn't the Agent have any spare magazines? No cop carries just a gun with an eight shot plus one in the chamber of a 1911. The FBI doesn't get witnesses involved in cross country, even domestic hostage retrieval missions, especially in Cuba where there is still an embargo against the country. Where did the daughter get a cellphone from when they just arrived State side from Cuba? She's sitting on the floor of the rental car agency with a phone. Did the rescue team remember to pack her phone? As for the six plus hour drive back to the girls house is another dumb scenario. They really couldn't have chartered a connecting flight to a smaller airport after arriving from Cuba? There's no shortage of airports. Plus why wouldn't the FBI escort her back, the best the writers could conjure up was a rental car just to create another fubar scenario, the t-bone at the intersection. When the Mother calls the stepmom in the living-room there's a team of FBI agents sitting there with them, so common, they really couldn't have sent a FBI plane to scoop them up at the airport or send a convoy to pick up the package? Also $2k for that broke down rust bucket of a pickup truck, that things worth no more than scrap metal. This movie deserves this monologue because anybody whose watched is now stupider... At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. (Billy Madison, 1995) This movie doesn't even deserve the one star that has to be given by default.

This was a great movie but it could have been better, it was super unrealistic. The Russian tank the Nazis were operating was a Russian T-54/T-55 first produced in 1947, three years after 1944 when the film takes place. That's not to say that Russians didn't commandeer German tanks and vice versa. Many times the Germans would used captured Soviet tanks and other vehicles and the Soviets would use captured German tanks. They would crudely repaint them. The DShK machine-gun on it was from that time period, but they draped a Nazi swastika mini flag or sticker over the top of it, I've never seen this done before. Korpi uses the gold pan as a shield to protect himself from 9mm and 8mm Mauser incoming bullets, that's just complete fabrication. Gold pans are made of low quality steel not MIL-A 46177 or MIL-12560 used in the building of armored vehicles such as commercial up armored vehicles such as Suburbans. The gold pan might deflect a few 9mm rounds but 8mm Mauser is punching through that. As for him running with a dead body on his back as a shield, that might work for pistol calibers and possibly a few rifle rounds, it just depends, but 12.7×108mm fired from the DShK, which is the Russian version of the US .50 BMG, those are going through several humans before they lose velocity. This movie takes liberties with physics. As for the bullets travelling underwater at great distances that is also not scientifically possible, Saving Private Ryan (1998) got that wrong too. Bullets fired at an angle of 30 degrees, will not travel any further than 3-5 feet (0.9-1.5 meters) under water. This is the reason Police/FBI crime labs fire guns into water tanks to retrieve the fired bullet which separates from the shell casing. The Germans jumping into the water with their helmets, boots and heavy trench coats, that's a new one too.

Not very realistic. I just started the movie and off the bat, I already see some errors. Conventional US forces, even Green Berets don't use the H&K416 rifle. 1st SFOD-D and DEVGRU use that platform and some are phasing it out. Secondly there is no way in hell, US Forces in 2018 would be driving an open top Humvee, especially off base to a HVT target location, they'd be using MRAPs, JLTVs, or at least at a minimum uparmored Humvees. In addition there's no way a two vehicle element would venture out to raid target, especially three hours out. These scenarios just don't make any real world sense. In addition the non convertible Humvee is not even uparmored, in 2018. These were issues in the early years, not in 2018. The whole reason no competent CO would send out two vehicles and eight men to secure an IED factory three hours out, is so such a scenario wouldn't arise where they're ambushed and fighting ten against one. The writers of this movie conjured up the exact fubar events which would lead to the situation it led to, chaos. When Kinley gave Ahmed the AK, he didn't give him any extra magazines, Ahmed is firing his weapon on full-auto in short bursts, did he get a cheat code where he doesn't have to reload? As for the US Forces, they're firing their carbines in full-auto, no US Soldier would do that unless he's on a SAW, plus a rifle is more accurate and effective in semi-auto. Kinley asks Ahmed if his "gun is up," Ahmed racks his firearm, and says "it's up." In this situation when a loaded firearm's charging handle is reciprocated, it would eject a loaded bullet, and load a fresh one from the magazine. He said his gun was loaded but when he charged it, no bullet ejected. Like I said earlier, he's been on one magazine the whole firefight, and he's still good. These are the errors I've found and I'm at the 42 minute mark. There's a bunch I didn't even address in the former write up. I just have a difficult time watching unrealistic movies. I also noticed Kinley gives Ahmed a Beretta M9A3, the US Military never adopted the M9A3, they have the M9. Then during the Modular Handgun System competition the US Military selected the M17 and M18 made by Sig Sauer as the replacement for the M9. Here's another cheat code moment, when Kinley goes off on his own to find Ahmed, the contractor gives him a a sat phone, $10k in cash, and he says "an M4 and six magazines." After Kinley hooks up with Ahmed and they get into contact, Ahmed is also armed with an M4. Where did Ahmed's M4 come from? Yes, the Taliban now have US weapons but came as a result of the 2021 withdrawal where the hajis raided weapons depots and collected abandoned weapons from the ANA. That's not to say that lost or stolen US weapons sold by corrupt ANA to the Taliban weren't around, but Ahmed was not Taliban, so for a friendly to be in possession of an M4 is so unlikely. He would more likely have an AK platform like the driver of the jingle truck who fought alongside Kinley and Ahmed on the dam.
