This album feels like two-in-one. The first half sounds stereotypically “Phishy” particularly with the first three songs. The second half had some unexpected moments for me (Monsters and Valdese in particular). I like those songs, but they almost feel out of place in a weird way. Considering the 3.0 era albums, I think Fuego and Sigma Oasis are stronger, but Evolve is certainly a good one and continues to grow on me with each listen.
