I really wanted to like this series. I had hoped it would make for a compelling storyline. The characters and script writing are so poor I am surprised it ever made it to production. Very quickly the limits of the writer's knowledge and experience of the world become apparent. I had hoped that it would pick up after the first couple of episodes but it was consistently childish throughout. If you want to see a real disaster series take a look at Chernobyl which does it correctly.
