As a lesbian, I have often had trouble finding shows about lesbians that does not revolve around hypersexualization or drama alone. This show completely turns that around and shows a very real, natural couple that struggle with problems in their everyday life and overcome them together. There is drama, but it furthers the plot and it is not the only characteristic of Mae and George as a lesbian couple. There is sex, but it does not distract from the show. The writing and acting make me feel connected to these characters, as if I have known them for years. Once again, this is an incredibly real and natural show that I would recommend to anyone, particularly wlw.
