I've posed the question many times to people, "what if Jesus was alive in this modern time and how would he be received?" I found the show to take this to heart in many aspects. It's not like he's the actual Second Coming of Jesus but more symbolically and figuratively. A problem I have with certain producers such as Mark Burnett because he has been such a Trump supporter and all these Evangelicals who think of him as The Chosen One. Regardless of your religion/belief, we're taught as Christians to follow Jesus' teachings and Jesus accepted everyone. If Jesus were to be alive in this time, think of all he would be put through with the governments. Especially in USA. The Immigration policies, the scrutiny, and just walking to different places. In Revelations we read of the Second Coming and many things we have to take on faith that is not always explained to us as we'd like of other things to take place. Faith is all we have but again this is a time of great technological advances and some just can't grasp the concept to accept with blind faith as a child. We are living in such a time that is foretold in Revelations and we must be ready and pray for others. When religious people state that God wants us to be millionaires or have great wealth, I question the validity of that person's true faith. I hope this show continues as it is such a contrast to other shows with similar premise. This really makes you think about the world we live in now and what we need to do for the future and for our children.
