Nice bible if you want engagment with the word consistantly. The Amplified Bible is not the work of Joyce Meyer, only the commemtary within this bible is. And the bible publisher makes note of that in the begining pages. Some versions of this bible, i.e. the leather like claim sewn. I wouldn't exactly call them that. It appears that a glued text block is sewn into the binding and then wrapped in faux leather. If treated well this bible should last a good while. Pages are thin and most highlighters will show through, pens will almost for sure. lots of ghosting. 9 Point font is pretty decent with the depth of color and line spacing. I use this mainly as a devotional bible and I'm very happy with it.👍

It is a paraphrase and translation. As the author/translator used the original greek and hebrew to do translation. It totally is on the farthest right of translation being a paraphrase. When reading this bible I feel like I'm reading a first person novel. It just reads so easy and comfortably. This isn't a bible for study, it's a bible for reading and that is exactly what I bought it for. We spend so much time studying(which isn't a bad thing) that we sometimes forget to just sit and read and let ourselves be engulfed by the story. I'm very happy with this bible. It's a completely different experience than you'll get with any other translation.

Even if you don't believe in God, this is a good book to read and work through if you're going through tough times. It's not just about the lies we believe about God when we're struggling, it's also about the lies we believe about ourselves. I cried twice just reading her intro and first chapter. There are questions and little practices at the end of each chapter. Totally recommend. 👍

Please keep in mind this is an excellent academic resource that does not follow church tradition in many respects. Some may find that challenging and or it challenges their faith. For me it deepens understanding of everything biblical and is a resource I'm constantly reaching for.

Leather like cover, the teal is very pretty. Large 12.5 font makes for easy reading. 117 page dictionary, no maps. Paper is thin but print is line matched. Liquid highlighters and pens will show through. I kept and decorated the slip cover since there is no bible cover out there that will fit properly. I really like this bible. Though it's not guenuine leather, if you take care with the cover it will last a long time. Very happy.

It's a wonderful bible for anyone but I think it's an absolute amazing bible for those having difficulty connecting to God and making time for God on a daily basis. It's motivational and engaging in seeking God, spending quality time with God and realising you are loved and provided for.

The newest version, nlt,sage green with bird cover. I have the paperback version. I like how it is a no frills, daily reading , devo bible. The devotions are in essence reflections of the passages read, that either pose a question to you or offer a piece of scritpture to meditate on. You can easily turn these into a good page or two devotion, depending on how in depth you wish to go. This is great for anyone, new or old to the bible but especially great for anyone who has made life so busy they just don't take time for daily bible reading. For me , it's about getting back into the habit, which I used to be good at keeping and kind of let go. If you even thinking about buying this bible, just get it. It's worth it. 👍
