If I didn’t have to read it for book club, would have abandoned it after about 50 pages. I felt like I was fighting my way through it, couldn’t connect with characters story line was disconnected. Perhaps if author have used mother’s story it would have made it more interesting from her point of view. Too many little scenarios left the book disconnected.
