I found myself getting frustrated and beyond angry with the main character, Vanessa. At 15 she was groomed by a 30 something year old teacher to believe that she was the one that wanted a sexual relationship. He knew what to say and how to go about the situation so that the victim at the end would be him and he continued to do so in the years that followed. Deep down she knew what it was and what she went through was abuse but she kept denying it... she needed to believe it wasn't abuse, for her own sanity, not that she wasn't messed up already. I forced myself to finished reading the book. It was sad that to me there was no true resolution for her. But then again in real life many women don't get resolution either.
