Why are people reviewing this show without giving it a chance first??? It's like they expect a whole series to have happened, in only 4 episodes!!
You have to give it time to develop opinions and feelings about the characters...give those characters time to develop. They need time to go through things, to have things happen to them, to respond to hardships or positive things, you need to get a sense of who they are.
It seems if people don't get 60 minutes of pure cgi action, they're not happy.
I think the show has done a fantastic job so far! The way they've visually created the weaves, the land the characters are traveling through, the cgi of trollocs and the battle of The 2 Rivers, explaining how the world created by R Jordan works, through dialog between characters, etc.
How is the audience supposed to know how this (fantasy) world works, if not through conversations by characters??? These shows need dialog.
For those of us who have read the WoT series...compared to the books, these episodes move at lightning speed. The pace of the books is slow, to say the least, and I think this show is doing a phenomenal job at pace.
Finally, for those comparing this to GOT....do you honestly think you could have given a knowledgable review only 4 episods in to it? Were you connected at all with say Arya, yet? No, impossible, because there hadn't been enough time for her character to develop and for you to be connected with her at all.
So please, give the show time to do these things, and stop thinking it needs to be an entire series like GOT, in only 4 episodes.
Big thank you to the show creators, producers, actors, and everyone else involved in making this show. I for one am incredibly grateful!!!
