This movie was pretty cash money- enjoyable and family-friendly and no matter the motives I'd watch a sequel to this (mainly to see the other characters, but yanno, the sonic redesign is cute, so why not?). The plot was pretty tame and admittedly generic, but for an iconic video game character of all things, I'd rather it be this way than something gritty (like shadow the hedgehog the game tried and failed to be). The human characters were an enjoyable complement to Sonic, and I honestly don't have much bad to say about the movie. Jim Carrey was an amazing cast for Dr. Robotnik, and I definitely plan to buy this movie when it comes out on Blu-ray/DVD. Definitely a must-watch with any kids/younger sibs!

It was alright! The visuals were super lovely but I wish they went more into the world-building aspect and developed the new characters beyond what they symbolized. It felt like a layer to the story was missing and I didn't really feel anything when characters died, but I enjoyed seeing what happened next with Maleficent's and Aurora's storyline.
