I'm a "Baby Boomer". This was the first time I ever saw a show where a White woman plays the role of a Black woman. It's the "elephant in the room" , that everyone ignores. I see the show a little differently than the younger generation having knowledge of the "Brown Paper Bag Test", from the past and "Colorism".
Many Black women feel that Black men prefer women who are White or dam near. The comedy that comes through this show is based on that reality, and I know I'm not the only one who sees it that way.
It's funny how some "Black history consciousness" , Black men prefer White women. Happy to see more Black writers though.
