This show is supremely unfunny. I did not laugh even once while watching it. It just feels like there are a bunch of random “jokes” strung together by a poorly written plot. The show starts off plotlines and then doesn’t even tie them up. The show is not grounded in reality at all- I get that a sci fi show will be somewhat unrealistic, but the scenarios are just crude and unfunny. The show relies on crude humour for laughs, and it fails completely. The characterisation is horrible- the show relies on tropes to do all the heavy lifting. Some characters have scenes together that don’t even add to the plot- it’s like the scenes are there just to fill runtime. I love Veep and Hugh Laurie, but this show is absolutely disappointing. The premise is so interesting, and it’s honestly sad that so many talented actors are wasted.
