This was one of the first books I read when I came on Wattpad. It was probably my fifth or sixth one. In the beginning, it was like any other book except for the fact that I really enjoyed reading the author's notes. I personally really like books in which the author keeps some sort of contact with the readers. In fact I feel like for me to like a book, there should be some sort of bond like thing with the author as well (if anyone even gets what I'm trying to say here lol ) and that was exactly what was there in the little author notes at the end of every chapter. What actually made this book different and more appealing from the others was that the historical fiction wasn't all fiction. Yes the characters are ofcourse fictional but the events and things that take place aren't fictional at all which gives us a chance to actually know something about history as well along with reading the book and I love the way in which the author, Robert Thier ( also known as Sir Rob) has described the historical events of not only Britain, the place where the story takes place, but also of various other places in the book like Paris, India, South America etc. with such poise and grace and also the fact that he wasn't reluctant or embarassed in correcting any mistakes that he made ( like if something didn't happen at that time ). And ofcourse we can't forget the main topic of the book and the admirable character development which takes place. He has also put the right amount of detail at the right places and not exaggerated or left us unsatisfied with anything.
Over-all, this is just the best book ever and is definitely worth your time in reading.
(Sheesh look at this big speech I wrote lol don't mind it :D)
