I haven't seen the film yet but intend to watch it soon. I like the actors in this new film and have no doubt it will be the best D&D film made so far, however I doubt it will meet my expectations from the clips I have seen. The films previous to this were so bad I have never bothered to watch them all the way through. Why is it that something with such potential has been so poorly handled. I feel that all the films are dumbed down and have no hope of reaching their full potential. D&D has a gold mine of material and possibilities, yet we get 2nd,3rd and 4th rate stories. One day a D&D film will be made that will change all that and blow audiences away with its story and ambition, a bit like Star Wars/Empire Strikes Back did in its day.
