A beautifully shot film but a ridiculous storyline .. but thanks for the lecture... I think it was set in Chicago during prohibition but I can't be certain.... For a classic film set during the blitz see John Boormans Hope and Glory.

The UKs answer to Fargo. Fantastic script. Inspired casting. Guy Ritchie proving he has the right to sit at the same table as Scorsese, Tarantino et Al. So slick and classy.

Plenty of the vulgar humour from the movies mixed with the classic sitcom family set up. A good balance of intelligent scriptwriting with pathos and empathy and a great cast... I love it. Looking forward to the 2nd season.

I didn't think this film was anywhere near as bad as some of the reviews I've read. It's not hilarious but it does pass the 6 laughs test. The characters were all likeable and Melissa Mccarthy was perfect as the Genie. And Pappa Essiedu showing his great comic timing as the 'in the bad books Husband/ Dad' .... Perhaps it could have been ever so slightly edgier with some of the humour. I can almost see where some of the jokes wanted to go but pulled back before it upset one demographic or another. All in all a decent family Christmas movie.

For all its weaknesses Eastwood still commands the screen and keeps you watching. A muddled ending to a watchable movie.

When the loss of a football can bring tears to your eyes.... I'd say that's a well written and directed film. And it still stands up to the test of time.

Fred Astaire plays a the part of a right horrible git! What kind of mate is that... Keeps trying to pull all of his mates' girls! Otherwise a great Christmas film... Yes there are the blackface Lincoln scenes... Really not good.

One of my favourite books and films. Probably one of the best pieces of casting with Newman as Sully and a fantastic ensemble cast turns a small town story into a great cinematic comedy/drama.

Episode 3... Excellent... Yes a bit soap opera. But harsh and gritty. Just how I want a western to be. Thoroughly enjoying it.

A grsat comedy that asks questions... But still just a comedy though the awful Soundtrack is obviously an attempt to elevate the show above the normal 'cosy' sitcoms we are used to.... Why? That's what Paul Rudd does best... And he is at his best here. Just wish I could turn the music off.
