Was not sure what to exactly expect from this movie other than it was based on a true story with a spiritual theme. Yes, there were a few scenes that seemed unrealistic such as too many folks intermingling with mostly death roll prisoners in the yards. The acting was ok to good overall.
The movie was truly emotionally moving and many at the end of the movie were in tears. Our group enjoyed the movie and considered it one of the best for 2024. There have been too many less than three star movies this year. This was not one of them.
Do have a major grip; the movie theaters like Harkins only ran the movie for 8-10 days for a one time slot showing in the middle of the day. While the attendance seemed equal to moderately higher than most movies. The Regal did not even offer the movie?? AMC offered one showing but not in many locations.
Seems as if these companies exhibited negative bias toward this production. However, they are more than happy to show seriously violent movies for many weeks of run time at 5 showing per day…
Looking forward for NetFlix or Hulu to offer this movie!
