The first 2 episodes of this series was epic! The mystery revolving around Terry's involvement in the murder was truly riveting, thanks in large part to another incredible dramatic performance by Jason Bateman. *SPOILER ALERT* But when his character gets killed, I immediately anticipated the series would suffer as a result, and I was right. The performances from the rest of the cast wasn't the issue though...everyone was fantastic. Instead, it's the same problem we see from most of Stephen King's adapted works...great premise, great characters, but a clumsy ending. I'm not sure if it's because his stories are usually focused on the supernatural, which always feels like a cop out resolution, or the director's inability to effectively portray the supernatural elements, but his endings always seem to be anti-climactic, often bordering on silly. All that said, I would still recommend this series, but I would also warn the viewer that the first 2 episodes are probably going to be the highlight.
