This is the worst movie you'll ever love. An excellent plot concept shot for about $300, the movie gets its feet tangled in painting the interpersonal relationships of the three characters, with some truly cringeworthy Hallmark moments.
It manages to snap out of it, cut to the chase as it were, with a final race against time to alert humanity to the arrival of extraterrestrial etc. etc.
Campy, kitschy, cliche-soaked, the drama of the ending was a happy surprise. Makes you wish for a sequel.
