the story was quite interesting - an unpredictable mystery done well. it follows the journey of surgeon looking for his missing daughter, starting in the "safe" neighbourhood. over the episodes, we come to realise that the gates weren't necessarily made to keep the evil out, but rather, to keep it in.
the cast and crew did an amazing job bringing it to life. what lacked, however, in my opinion, was the direction. while making a show, the directors have many questions to answer on how a scene must progress and the director of safe always seemed to go with the obvious answers. in the genre of mystery and suspense, i would've liked to see something rather unexpected. the sense of familiarity and expectations in the storyline being met drains the suspense out of it.
