WOW! IF you’ve ever liked a DC movie in the last 20 years then you are sure to appreciate this for what it is...smart, splendid & fully BONUS footage of your favorite DC characters doing what they do...looking badass in the spirit of cooperation and teamwork! That is something that has been missing recently from our lives and this gift comes at such a dark time that I can fully appreciate it for what it is...a personal & beautiful film made by an artist for hungry fans who are still open hearted enough to appreciate it! This film is not for everybody and clearly intended for grown-ups not for children. Less plug-and-play than the MCU and definitely an acquired taste but if you watch it shot for shot it and ask yourself : is this we’ll shot? Am I entertained? Then yes it compares to the great films like The Godfather or something directed by Steven Spielberg in the good old days. Immediately you see that Snyder fully believed in his gorgeous footage and that commitment to storytelling shows up in every frame. I had some laugh out loud moments which were intended and others at Ben Affleck‘s froggy Clooney-ESQUE line reading but the truth is this is a a 4 hour gift and I fully bought into ALL of the actors...Who doesn’t wanna have a few more looks at Gal Gadot as wonder woman? Cavil IS our new Superman. The flash kid steals the whole film but Snyder even made me care about angst ridden cyborg. After this pandemic entertainment drought I cherish this masterpiece for what it is...Good Art! Snyder spreads around the character development so you fully get invested in all six members of the justice league which was missing from the original cut. Each of them have their own mini movies that are epic and add to the universe so much so that we are left to consider what the possibilities Could of been and they are ample! I can’t wait to see what grows from this recent effort... all because Snyder was not done and saw better than the best what it could be! There is promise here like an early Harry Potter movie... you know you’re looking at something that could grow into a much greater world. Dark, smoky and less hokey than anything else I’ve seen from the DC universe. I believe now and I thank Snyder for showing this vision he held & Sharing it with US! The world is more interesting & beautiful today than it was before the release of this cut. Leaving me wondering...what’s next?
