The sequels for reasons of continuity were garbage. They were apart of the primary Skywalker legacy and storyline were unable to finish the grand saga in a manner in which it deserved. This has nothing to do with any of the progressive movement issues many have with the sequels or the media tells us the fan base has. Those parts of the film are not even additions to the series, Star Wars has always been about the good defining itself and progressing forward against the dark. Explaining the force and finding what balance truly means and what parts of the darkness and light are apart of the natural order and what parts are additions of from the ego. These themes are not what caused the sequels downfall. It was blatant disregard for the legacy of Skywalker and what he was and should have been. There are many issues with storytelling process and incoherent storylines in general with the sequels but the disrespect, to what the Jedi are and were, is astounding. Bad storytelling, complete misunderstanding of Luke as a character and Leia, and a lack of regard for what the Jedi and Sith actually are. Star Wars Visions is a breathe of fresh air. They show the heart of star wars is. The snapshots into what is happening around the universe and how everyone one almost every level is fighting the inner and external battle between good and evil. Families, friends, strangers, all being put to the test and to the flames over their values and ethics. Visions is hope for a Star Wars that understands its roots. The idea of Jedi and the Jedi Code is taken directly from the the idea of Bushido. Akira Kurosawa inspired Lucas. That these episodes both expand on this original "Vision" and expand on what star wars has become is balance itself. Star Wars will move into a future where it is free from "canon" and continuity. Where Star Wars means the operatic production of media that portrays the ideas of balance and yin and yang and those that weaponize the neutral light and dark and make them forces of war. Rectitude, Courage, Benevolence, Politeness, Honesty, Honor, Loyalty, Character and Self-Control. There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force.
