The film started off okay but then faded into an expected end. That is of a guy trying to control a woman as she comes into herself and runs into the arms of another woman. Either as friend or lover. That is supposed to be fun and inspiring?? No, trying to lead. Someone please write something unique and real.

Good suspense. Decent movie. Forest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie are very good. I see Rotten Tomatoes gave it a low score. They seem to prejudge movies based on what they perceive groups will decide or try to sway them. Again, this is a decent film. Don't let Rotten Tomatoes steer you.

Rotten Tomatoes critics must be looking at a vastly different movie. Almost everyone (lay-people) who has seen this film enjoyed it. The professional criticism of Eddie Murphy being out of character because he isn't funny or suggesting it's a demeaning and acceptable character for Black males is quite ridiculous. The character himself was great. It didn't place one race on top of another, nor was it overly cheesy. It was a very good film with good acting. Eddie wasn't supposed to be funny. I would say listen to the laypeople on this one.
