It’s really great, but (this coming from a 13yr old) really it’s not for 13 and younger. More suitably, 16yr olds. This series contains a lot of inappropriate romance and mild swearing, and some very gruesome depictions of wounds/torture, and quite dark at the end of the first book, and it only gets darker. I personally was in tears at the end, and my parents worried about me saying I had changed and wasn’t myself anymore. GREAT storyline though, great plot and characters. Just watch out, on of the 30 assassins in the competition summons a demon-like creature with its victim’s blood. Let’s face it, NOT for ANYONE younger than 14 at most. Very mature reading.
