I got the luxury of meeting this author today at a local Barnes and Noble. I read the book and absolutely fell in love with it. Mr. Taylor is so passionate about this little book about the pug, and it warms my heart knowing he himself told me that funding goes to shelters with the purchase of this book. I unfortunately didn't get the chance to return and purchase the book to get it signed as I ran out of time, but meeting him and seeing his joy of his work, writing and the soft little pug Spike, I consider myself lucky. I really recommend this book to all children. I work as an aftercare teacher, and will be bringing this book for the kids (:
