The moment I started this book, I hated putting it down to go to sleep. I just wanted to read from cover to cover in one sitting.
Touches of a Gen Z Bridget Jones come to the fore in terms of Freya Bromley’s acerbic wit and self doubt, whilst she struggles to deal with an absolutely devastating event within the family, that touches every moment of her life.
A deeply moving, yet actual snigger-out-loud book that I would recommend to anyone touched by grief or depression, anyone who loves wild swimming of the astounding nature of the British Isles, and even to anyone who hasn’t/doesn’t.
Overall, it’s a just a thoroughly detailed, brilliantly well written, enjoyable and emotional journey. If I could give it 6 stars I would.
