This was probably the most depressing and anticlimactic movie I have ever seen. I kept waiting for something to happen, and yet nothing did. Roy's long awaited encounter with his father, whom he thought was dead thirty years prior, seemed almost pointless. There were scenes that were included in the movie that were unnecessary and did not contribute to the plot arc. I could not form an attachment to a single character however hard I tried. The scene where Roy uses part of his spacecraft as a shield to go through the rings of Neptune, dodging space particles along the the way, was laughable. I think I could hear the slaps as the people at NASA face palmed themselves in unison, while watching this scene. I tried to like Brad Pitt's performance, but it gave me no emotion. Sorry, but this was not a good movie.
