Why call it Cinderella if you’re going to take so many liberties with the storyline? Why not just call it something else? I love the concept of a woman pursuing a career and a fairytale to this effect but Cinderella is about finding love and a life partner... They destroyed the story to me and the mediocre love story in this movie falls very flat. Her stepmother and stepsisters weren’t even that evil. If you love the original fairytale (as I do), don’t watch this one as you’ll be disappointed. I gave it an extra star for creativity (the modern music) and the attempt at diversity though.
