Ghostbusters: Afterlife is without a doubt a love letter as most critics would say. However a foundation is set up in this film that provides more than nostalgia to fans of the franchise. It packs the ecto-1 with new cast members that are refreshingly satisfying and honors the tone of the original film. It scratches an itch that all Ghostbusters fans have had for years. Jason Reitman should be proud.
