Movie did not do justice to the book, the movie focused too much on the drug addiction of JD s mother, hardly on his grandfather who taught him math & many other things, not on his father who was actually v good & whom he visited frequently, & many other stuff.

I think its a story repeated many times with an ok hero & an awful heroin. I couldnt sit beyond 10 mins. No originality nor a pleasing protagonist
