~Spoiler free~ I watch horror movies all the time… I don’t tend to scare super easily (thanks lexapro! Lol) but this movie was absolutely terrifying to me. I think the best word I can use to describe it is disturbing. Just incredibly disturbing. I was scared to go to the bathroom by myself after watching it! I have seen Hereditary and Midsommar. I thought Midsommar was an excellent movie, though not as scary to me as this one. And to be honest I didn’t think Hereditary was that scary. Maybe I’m weird. I brought up those two movies because I see a lot of comparisons to them in other reviews. Different things scare people for different reasons, I guess, but this movie was so unsettling and I can’t get it out of my mind. The acting was superb all around. Really well done.
