The violence is often disturbing and truly horrific. Especially what Lestat does to the two priests in a church, and the vampire's initiation immediately following. The story around morality and immorality, mortality and immorality , reason vs. instinct is sophisticated. But despite the fine dialogue and acting, this series is only for a fully mature, sound mind. This is definitely not family friendly.

We get to experience a personal relationship with another very different, highly intelligent creature

The filming and acting is exquisite. The characters nuanced and complex. The subject original and important. Many themes thread and intertwine through this moving story.

I've been watching all the movies and series about the medieval era in Britain. This feels very historic, with Saxons invading early Britain/Wales with some elements of the magical -- a novel take on the origin of King Arthur

A good story, acting, settings. Hard to follow as it jumps backwards and forward; hard to tell who is who. Music choice, 70's rock, is jarring especially "Season of the Witch" repeating throughout

Shrinking is supposed to be about relating to one another, but I have trouble relating to these characters. They are all too glib, and TMI gets shared. Also a lot of foul language, which is used in an academic interview setting and the officiant of a wedding. That's just lazy writing. Overall, these characters are annoying and the series is disappointing despite the pedigreed actors

The previous film interpretations far surpass this one.

Really well filmed. A crazy story that makes you believe it.
