I watched this movie with zero hopes for it. After all the live action remakes, I did not think this one would pass. However, I was wrong. I actually liked the take they took with this movie. More backstory for Peter Pan and Captain Hook. Little things that answer some questions I had when I watched the original Disney Peter Pan. I’ll admit that “The Lost Boys” having some girls in it definitely throws the name out for me, but even the movie takes a gag to it and calls them out. Tinker Bell is meant to be the sassy brat Fairy we love to hate. In this movie, I feel like they toned it down a bit and she was a little too quick to like Wendy. Other than that, Tinker Bell was a good character. Tiger Lily? My absolute favorite! She really showed that she was a Chiefs Daughter. I love their own language and how she uses materials that Indians would actually use. It’s the attention to detail for me on this one. I think my complaint with her is her horse. Don’t get me wrong, I love the horse but I did not like that she had a saddle. Seem non traditional for me. Overall, the movie was good. Definitely not their best, but far from their worst. I’d watched it again just for the story of Peter and Hook because I just really like how they went with it.
