I never write reviews for movies, but I have to for AQP: Day One, because I was expecting to finally get clarity on some of the previous two movies's plotholes.
Alas, we got a terminally ill woman who wanted pizza while the world is ending, a weirdo british dude, who's obsessed following this terminally ill lady to that said pizza place (??? why???) and one AWEFULLY quiet and calm cat...While the previous two movies showcase how smart people need to be in order to live in this dangerous, quiet, world, in this one the aliens are flat out dumb, slow and just not as scary as they technically should be.
Questions that this movie brought to the surface again/new ones: What was that thing that the creatures were eating? Why was the cat eating it as well, will it hurt it? What will happen to the boat when it goes under a broken bridge? Wouldn't that be a ramp good enough for a bunch of aliens to jump on it and kill them? What's the premise? Are the people on the boat those from AQP 2 that were on the island? Why are the aliens landing on Earth and why is the military already where it needs to be, but civilians are unevacuated and unaware of what is soon to be an invansion?
Again, this movie is ok for a one time watching, IF you can get over the million plot holes. If you are here to watch a coherent story or you're expecting logic, explanations or anything, don't waste your time, just like with the other two...
