I'm an avid reader and love complex books that I can sink my teeth into. I found this book to be so long winded. I also had such a hard time keeping up with characters and all the nicknames. And all the tragedies were just a bit too much. When Elsie had leprosy I had to roll my eyes. I made myself get through the book.

Boring. Sorry Spielberg, your childhood was not unique or interesting. Michelle Williams did a great job. I just couldn’t wait for it to end.
