The books are so fun to read! However, the show was painful to watch and I barely made it through the first episode while my husband gave up a little over halfway. The CGI in the initial scene of the elk was like something from the 80’s. The acting of Joe Pickett was less than ideal. Do these actors EVER read the books to find out a little more about their characters??? And who in the world thought the guy playing Nate was a good idea? Nate has icy blue eyes and sharp bird like features so….that’s nothing like who they cast. Joe has an old single cab vehicle in the books and they gave him something rather fancy for a game warden. There are way too many issues from the book to the screen to continue watching. The acting isn’t great either. This was a huge fail.
