As a Master Diver in the U.S. Navy I can tell you that this book gives a lot of insight into diving medicine to include why certain rules exist vs. simply following the regulation. It also includes chapters on operational requirements and why they are in place. A few other topics include; diving history, water/chamber operational dives, different types of decompression, why different gasses affect humans in certain ways, isobaric counter diffusion, hot/cold divers, human performance, and many others.
This is one of the first times I have done a review on a professional book, so a well-earned five stars. This book very well written and every military or professional diver should consider borrowing or purchasing. It is not written as many other professional books are; where the author goes well above the readers head. This is written in the common tongue that everyone can understand and definitely learn from.
In my opinion, this book should be required reading for all of those in the U.S. Navy Diving Community.
