Wonderful film, beautifully made and so inspiring..ironically I was the only one in the auditorium at the local theater. I fail to understand why this movie is not receiving more accolades than it has so far. Hopefully, it'll pick up over time. In the meanwhile, it will remain one of my favorite movies.

Seen so many wonderful renditions of this story including the classic 1978 film version with a star studded cast and the 2004 TV version with David Suchet and Emily Blunt that this one fell flat. It feels more like a contrived attempt to be different using alternate interpretations and adaptations of the same story. While some of the cinematography is good including footage of the vast Egyptian landscape, monuments and temples, I would prefer the other versions over this movie any day.

Story about a brat of a son with an immature, unreasonable and rebellious attitude towards his father while at the same time being the most committed and loving husband he could be to his dying wife.
