Let's be honest. Lovesexy is bloated, boring, and aside from Alphabet Street, it's an album Prince could and probably should have left in the vault. It sounds (and sounded) like Prince's attempt to fuse new jack swing, funk, and psychedelia, and it just doesn't work. It isn't terrible, it just isn't good.
