I wanted to like this move but found it impossible because it was such a young adult book cliche in every sense. Plot: Daisy goes to visit her cousin in the English (per the book) countryside/ Scotland in the movie where she goes off to live after sent by her father from the US. While there she falls in love with her cousin Edmond. Yes they are cousins? Why/ Reasons!!!. That is just one on my many issues with the story others are, she only knew him for 2 days and is now in a love/ sex relationship with Edmond even though he grab her and jump into a river despite her saying she did not want to go int the water. Later while having a picnic (I presume it's the same day) a bomb is dropped in London (looks like the beginning of World War 3) and what seems like nuclear fallout occurs. You have ash falling everywhere and on everything, but the next day after it rains everything is fine even though Daisy and the other get cover in the ash. No dead/dying animals or sick/dying people?!!! The mother of the kids leave right before the bomb falls despite her knowing that the world is on the brink of war, because reasons. The US consult wants to send Daisy back home because she is a US citizen/reasons?!! (because we get no explanations) but the other children seem to not really matter to the government. They say they want to move the kids a short distance away but not out of the countryside instead for their safety. As the movie progresses Daisy and the young female cousin are taken to a work camp without explanation and left to live with strangers because??? Reasons. They (government) don't try to find her missing aunt or send her back to her father in the US. Daisy then try's to find her way back to Edmond and the others along with the younger female cousin instead of getting to safety away from the war/terrorist. This is suppose to be a love story but it just came off as strange and unrealistic for the circumstance that Daisy and the other characters found them selves in. I would not recommend unless you love cliches and can suspend all belief in logic.

This film is a good classic sci-fi film and has great acting as well. The movie is about an alien ship that lands in Washington D.C. and the lone alien comes out with a large robot in tow. The mystery around the alien stays a mystery through the film till the end when the alien finally gives a very good message to the human race that still resonates today.

This movie is a classic and is still hilariously after so many decades. It has the best comedic performances from John Candy, Rick Moranis, Mel Brooks, etc. This parody of Star Wars is the best and pokes fun at all your favorite science fiction tropes, like warp speed and beaming people place to place. This movie is sure to put a smile on your face and get tons of laughs out of you.

It's a good movie that reflects how life can be when it comes to unfulfilled dreams. The acting was great John Voight was very convincing as an out of his element Texan and Dustin Hoffman was wonderful as the hard New York hustler. The film is touching straight to the end regarding the friendship between Joe and Rizzo. The sound track was very good, the over film was enjoyable and nostalgic.

One of the best under rated comedy shows. The comedy is relate able and the characters are fun and enjoyable to watch. The main protagonist is Chris who tries to navigate his teenage years and family with funny and mostly mixed success.

An interesting film that is Sci Fi/ Drama/ action/ comedy. The acting is very good for both Haruka Ayase and Keisuke Koide. The story was well written and paced. The CGI is surprisingly good and unlikely movies from the late 2000's does not look fake and dated. Overall a very good movie with a pretty good ending.

They live is still a good movie with good social commentary, people need to question there motive and beliefs more often. The plot of the movie is a regular guy stumble on a global conspiracy, the human race is being controlled by an alien race. The alien race has aligned its self with the richest humans and use subliminal messaging to control the masses. Its a thought provoking film and is both campy and entertaining.

As campy a love sci-fi love story as you can get. The plot is a alien comes to earth to observer humans and is attack by the government. The alien then takes on the human form of a earth woman's (Jenny) dead husband Scott. The two then travel to Arizona where the alien is set to meet another alien so they can leave the earth. The story set in the early 1980's and fits with that decades science fiction films. The female protagonist falls in love with this alien man even though he's an alien! She really knows nothing about him but still he is so nice she can't help to fall in love. The alien he first thinks of humans as hostile and even tell his people this but Jenny the earth woman changes his mind by trying to first run away, then abandon him, then saves him so it must be love, Really! But in 80's science fiction that's all that need. Still it passes the time and will make you laugh when you catch the sci-fi cliches, they abound all over.
