I played this game with my boyfriend who wasn’t a gamer at all and it was so fun and so so so beautiful! The game itself is challenging since obviously it takes two, you are really depending on your other player to complete each step of the game, so it can be funny or frustrating sometimes but always a good time, it’s really a game where you need to use your brain and think constantly and communicate with your partner. I really loved it, a lot of jokes and one of the prettiest and trippiest game I’ve played overall, very nice concept !

8 doors is a very complex 2D but fun metroidvania/platformer, I wouldn’t recommend it for someone that is starting to play theses types of game since there’s a lot going on with the control (changing weapons, characters, specials skills, dash and others) especially since the bosses are extremely hard to beat ! At least it’s very permissive, when you die you don’t lose your money or anything and a lot of save and teleports… But if you are experienced and love metroidvania go for it ! The boss are really difficult but always rewarding with a new skills, a lot of hidden things in the wall and the game itself is just beautiful. The map isn’t my favourite…not so easy to read and the legend is hard to understand but overall very good game !
